London Antique Dealers

One of our favorite finds at the International Quilt Market this past spring was Fulham Road from Alexander Henry Fabrics. The collection gets its namesake from the famous Fulham Rd in London.

Not having had the pleasure of visiting there myself, I relied on Wikipedia to learn that "there are numerous antique dealers and specialist interior furnishing stores which help to give Fulham Road a rather sedate atmosphere." It seems Alexander Henry has captured this bohemian feel rather well. This very eclectic collection features gorgeous flowers, peacock feathers, butterflies, and trees that look like they could be off the pages of a Lord of the Rings book.

Here is what I imagine Fulham Road looks and feels like on a sunny day spent window shopping.

And, as Morrissey sings, here is what appears when the "Fulham Road lights stretch and invite into the night."

So beautiful! This luxurious 100% cotton lawn would make a silky cotton quilt, scarf, or blousey top, to name a few possibilities. At 100 threads per square inch, this lawn has a gorgeous drape, and a hand very reminiscent of Anna Maria Horner's Little Folks line. We have the collection available both in yardage and Fat Quarter Bundles. Enjoy!
